C. Hoey-

Man, so I guess that makes this our 51st correspondence. But I suppose that’s our noblesse oblige, writing to each other, keeping in touch because one day, in the not-so-fictional future, only our forces combined will save the world from cultural annihilation. We did not ask for nor choose this responsibility, we only accept it and see it through until the end!

Here’s a brief list of other responsibilities/obligations that are new to my life: weekly poker night, weekly board game night at frickin’ awesome Belgian bar w/ free jukebox!, and apparently I’ve joined a band. Pertty [sic] cool, huh? So far, board game night - which I suppose is really more like expensive beer and games-in-general night - is easily the most entertaining. Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, Apples to Apples, Charades (my fav), and this sweet Surrealist game called Exquisite Corpse. Exquisite Corpse is this game, maybe you’ve heard of it, where one person writes a subject, hides it, the next person writes a verb (with direct object if the verb is in fact transitive), a third draws that sentence, and a fourth – without looking at the words – captions the sketch. It’s pretty amazing. I’ll send some of the saved pieces of paper with my next letter, honest. But some examples: An anteater confuses Goldie Hawn for toilet paper became Elephants catch butterflies and trample cavewomen. Dentures float through a black hole became Elvis dies but becomes a crocodile. And a sidewalk bites its tongue became Spongebob Squarepants gets hit by a steak crossing the street. Obviously this game has amazing potential for awesomeness.

Sigh, otherwise all is well over here, good buddy. Worked all weekend which was kinda fun but also sort of limits anything interesting in my letter… learned some sweet After Effects techniques from the big guy… ever heard of motion sketch? It’s the most! Also became very addicted to Yahoo!Chess. Do you play? Let’s play!
